Benefits of Reading For Leisure

 It's two years now since I got done with highschool and joined University. This period has greatly altered my reading habits and I'm feeling a little frustrated.

I recall that during my highschool days, I used to do up to five novels a week. Five good novels averaging a little over eight hundred pages. My colleagues used to marvel. Like "where do you find time and strength to read all those novels?"

I somehow managed between the squeezed class hours and reading them. You might be wondering what I am probably driving at. Well,I'm not going to coax you to read. But here is how I benefitted;

    1. My creativity improved immensely. When it came to imaginative writing,I was always unrivalled. The expertise with which I put down my ideas was captivating.

I dare brag that once you had my composition,you couldn't put it down. Thanks to the novels. How do you like your piece of writing read to the whole class? I was always on cloud nine.

    2. Though most people read silently,most gain the ability of being fluent overtime. I strongly believe that the vocabulary you encounter while reading has a one on one effect on what you're going to verbalize later on. As a native African who did most of his growing in the rural area,I am a living proof of this.

  3. You can earn. How? Well, I've been writing some random articles and posting them on Opera News Hub. This was before I widened my research on how I can increase my  income through writing. Well the money can't make you a millionaire overnight but comes in handy during some emergencies.

That's to mention a few. My upcoming articles will expound more on how to earn more from creative writing.

As I conclude, I'd like to recommend that anyone can develop their creative writing skills anytime. The first step to do so is by doing a lot of reading. Writing samples follows. Then publishing your work to earn off it is unarguably the last step.

I love you people.
